1960
The Beginning
Green Lantern Pizza opens its doors on Newburgh Rd in Livonia, MI. Founded by the Kalis family, the restaurant quickly earns a loyal following for its crispy-thin crust and rich tomato sauce.
1978
Expanding the Family Menu
Second generation takes the helm and introduces new specialty pies, expanded toppings, and family-size options — doubling the loyal customer base within three years.
1995
A Livonia Institution
Green Lantern Pizza is voted "Best Pizza in Metro Detroit" by local readers for the first of many times. The restaurant undergoes a renovation while keeping the beloved original recipes intact.
2010
50 Years of Slices
The restaurant celebrates its 50th anniversary with a community feast, free slices for Livonia residents, and a photo exhibition showcasing five decades of memories and milestones.
